Doctor Gerald Vermette

Dr. Gerald Vermette has been practicing dentistry in Skowhegan, Maine since 1957. Dr. Vermette received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Georgetown University, Washington D.C.

Additionally, he has extensive training in Diagnosis, Prosthetic Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry, Implants, TMJ Treatment, Nutrition, Mercury Toxicity, Microbiologic Periodontology, and Free Radical Therapy. Dr. Vermette is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, an accredited member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, and a certified member of Free Radical Therapy.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maine Dental Association, the Kennebec Valley Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation, the L.D. Panky Dental Foundation and the Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.

In 1998, Dr. Vermette received the Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence in the category of "Pollution Prevention".

On a personal note, Dr. Vermette enjoys playing tennis, biking and reading. He is married and the father of six children, all of whom are an integral part of his life along with his wife, Ruth.
